WARREN – Mary F. (Mozina) Birchak, age 85, died Saturday, June 23, 2018 at her daughter’s home in Champion, Ohio. She was born February 7, 1933 in Piney Fork, Ohio, Smithfield Township, the daughter of the late Frank and Agnes (Pinter) Mozina.
Mary was a member of John Paul II Catholic Church in Warren, and previously Christ Our King Catholic Church. She was a member of the Salem Slovak Club, loved the Cleveland Indians and was a 1951 graduate of Salem High School.
Her husband, Joseph E. Birchak, whom she married June 27, 1954 preceded her in death on July 24, 2014.
Survivors include three sons, Michael (Carol) Birchak of Cincinnati, Daniel Birchak of Gilbert, AZ and Ronald (Cortney) Birchak of Lake Milton; a daughter, Susan (Gary) Booth of Champion; a sister, Jennie Jackson of Salem; a brother, Frank Mozina of Salem; two sisters-in-law, Jeanette Mozina and Margaret von Tuchlinski, both of Salem; 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A brother, Edward Mozina of Salem also preceded her in death.
