Mary F. (Normand) Arsenault, 86, passed away surrounded by her family on April 30, 2022. She was the wife of Francis J. Arsenault with whom she shared 61 years of marriage. She was pre-deceased by her daughter, Kathleen Marie.
Born in Boston on May 21, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Leo N. and Frances (Koziski) Normand. She was raised in Salem, MA, and was educated at St. Chretienne Academy in Salem and at St. Elizabeth’s School of Nursing in Brighton, MA. Mary was employed as a registered nurse for over forty years at Salem Hospital and Mary Alley Hospital in Marblehead.
Mary was a communicant at St. Richard’s Parish in Danvers, where she also served as a Eucharistic Minister, on occasion bringing communion to neighboring nursing homes. She also donated her time and energy to the Pine Street Inn.
Aside from her greatest joy of watching her six grandsons mature, she was a long-time member (since 1973) of the Danvers Garden Club. She enjoyed knitting, gardening and traveling. She also took great pride in decorating her home for family and friends to enjoy.
