Mary English Mastrobattista, age 84, of Farmington, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2020 after a long illness. She leaves her husband, Alesandro, to mourn her passing. Mary was born on June 19, 1935 in Winsted, CT; the daughter of the late James and Sarah (Cannavo) English. She retired from Hamilton Standard after many years of service. She was a graduate of Northwestern Connecticut Community College. In her younger years, Mary loved to travel visiting California, Hawaii and Italy. She was most proud of her flying lessons and became proficient enough to fly solo. Family was important to her and she devoted many years caring for her parents. When not going to dances and taking long walks, she and Alesandro loved driving through the Litchfield Hills stopping for gourmet lunches. Besides her devoted husband, who spent every day by her side, she is survived by her brother, George English, his wife, Mary and their children, her special niece, Elizabeth Bortolon (Sandro) and her precious nephew, Christopher English (Josie); her brother James English, his wife, Loretta and their daughters, Donna and Gail.
