Mary Ellen Wright-Bussey, 86, of Eddyville, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Ottumwa Regional Health Center. She was born February 8, 1930 in Dequeen, AR; daughter of the late John Benjamin and Goldie Lee Linger Hall. She was raised in Mt. Clare, WV.
Mary Ellen was a Certified Public Accountant and had owned and operated LuMar Craft Store in Albia. She was a member of the Bussey Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school. Mary Ellen had been a volunteer for the Tuberculosis Association.
Mary Ellen married Robert Dale Wright and he preceded her in death; to that marriage were born two daughters, Lura Marlene and Martha Ellen. She later married Elmer Bussey and he also preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Troy, Walter and Danny Hall.
Surviving are two daughters, Lura Marlene Wright of Eddyville, Martha Ellen Barto of Trenton, MO; eight grandchildren, Lura Michelle, Melissa Lee, William Robert, David Dale and Jennifer Renae, Mary Ellen, Chester III and Lisa Ann; 21 great-grandchildren.
