Mary Ellen McSorley, 74, of Bonita Springs , Florida; formerly from Kearny and Brick Township NJ, died suddenly on Monday August 17, 2015.
Mary Ellen graduated from St.Cecilia High school and attended Jersey City Medical School of Nursing where she earned her Registered Nursing degree. She later earned her BSN from Upsala College.
During her nursing career she worked as a staff nurse at Clara Maas Hospital, Belleville, NJ. She also worked at Meadowlands Hospital in Secaucus, NJ, Community Medical Center Hospice, Toms River, NJ, and NJ State Department of Health as a Regional Medicaid Nurse. Mary Ellen retired in 2003.
Mary Ellen was the devoted mother Mary Beth Citarell (William) of Hopewell Junction , NY and Robert Mahon (Lorraine) of Kearny NJ.
She was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Joseph McSorley and brothers, Joseph and Brian. She is survived by her siblings Patricia Donald (Joseph), Eileen Mulligan (Robert), Kevin McSorley and sister in law Elizabeth McSorley.
In addition she leaves her beloved grandchildren, Maggie and Robert Mahon and Marissa and Samantha Citarell, as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews & friends.

Departed on Aug. 17, 2015 and resided in Bonita Springs, FL. .
