Mary Ellen Gray, 84, of Jacksonville, died Monday, Feb. 22, 2010, at Villa Health Care West in Sherman. She was born Aug. 2, 1925, near Literberry, the daughter of Frank and Ada Scribner Ryman. She married Albert M. Gray on Dec. 27, 1949, in Walnut Ridge, AR, and he survives.
She is also survived by three daughters and one son, Jacquelyn (Bill) Manor of St. Joseph, MO, John J. (Pamela) Gray of Sherman, Sallie (Bob) Cummins of Manchester, and Joyce Gray of Waverly; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Nancy Woods.
Mrs. Gray was a 1943 graduate of Jacksonville High School. She was a homemaker and helped her husband on the family farm for fifty-two years.
