Mary Ellen (Adams) Rogers, 78, passed away Friday July 5, 2013 in Greenwood.
She was a resident of Greenwood and former resident of Southport, Edinburgh, North Vernon and Zephyrhills, Florida.
Mary Ellen was born Sept. 6, 1934 in Jackson, Kentucky to Lee and Flossie (Terry) Adams.
She was married to the late Gordon L. Rogers for 63 years; he preceded her in death on June 13, 2013.
She was employed at Amos Thompson Plastics in Edinburgh for five years and then was the bookkeeper for their businesses in Edinburgh and Indianapolis.
Mary Ellen enjoyed gardening, golfing, reading, doing puzzles and volunteering at the senior citizens center. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include five children, Carolyn (Gary) Chelf of Jonesville, James (Janet) Rogers and Barbara (David) Lawson both of Greenwood, Peggy (Michael) Loomis of Illinois and Paula (Bill) Daniels of Arizona, five sisters, Edna (Chester) Caudill of Edinburgh, Bonnie (Chris) Jones, Betty (Charles) Wilson and Patricia Adams all of Ohio and Judy Smith of Arizona, 13 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and six great-great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Lester Adams, sister, Dorothea Phillips and son-in-law, Steven Shaw.
