Mary Elizabeth Knight Railey, 91, passed away at her home in Jackson, Alabama on Friday, March 25, 2016. Mary was born in Kentucky on January 18, 1925 , to James and Virginia Boyd Knight. She enjoyed painting portraits, gardening, and cooking for her family whom she loved very much. Mary lived in Fresno, California for 63 years before her health declined and she moved back to Alabama to be closer to family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James “Conner” and Virginia Knight; husband, William Coleman Railey, and a daughter, Barbara Kozera. Mary is survived by her loving son, James Woodham of Coffeeville, AL; grandchildren Sherri (Bruce) Gerlock of Medera, CA; Rona (Greg) Cassel of Coffeeville, AL; Tami (Mack) Estes of Coffeeville, AL; and Chris (Cathy) Woodham of Gilbertown,
AL; 9 great-grandchildren, and 10 great, great- grandchildren.
