Mary Elizabeth Largent, age 56, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017, at the home of her son in Reynolds, Indiana.
She was born June 21, 1960, in Jasper County, Indiana. Mary was the daughter of Charlotte (Current) and the late Theodore Filson. She was raised in Rensselaer where she attended the Rensselaer Central Schools. She had been a cook for over twenty years, most recently at the Crawfordsville Truck Stop, Crawfordsville, Indiana. In her earlier years she enjoyed gymnastics, swimming and diving. Mary was a very good singer who loved to sing and listen to music. She enjoyed watching movies, going to coffee with friends and family and crafting. One of Mary’s greatest joys was the time she spent with her children and grandchildren and her beloved dog Buster.
Mary will be missed greatly by her family, son David M.(Jessica) Hornbeck of Reynolds, Indiana, daughter Dawn (Mathew) Houser and son Mathew (Kendra Hollon) Hornbeck both of Remington, Indiana, her seven grandchildren, Dru McAdams, Ashton Hornbeck, Elijah Hornbeck, Ian Houser, Autumn Houser, Harlow Hornbeck and Notuaca Cornell, her mother, Charlotte Filson of Rensselaer, Indiana, siblings Larry (Leovy) Filson of Orlando, Florida, Steven (Doris Clark) Filson of Rensselaer, Indiana, Cheryl (Kevin) Armstrong of Lafayette, Indiana, Michael Filson of Floral, Arkansas, Ronald (Michelle) Filson of Rensselaer, Indiana and Danny Baker of Tennessee.
Preceding Mary in death was her father, Theodore Filson and two sisters, Alice Filson and Dorothy Humeau.
