Betty Wilson lived a full life, raising a family, pursuing her profession and bringing joy and comfort to many over 85 years. She died peacefully and on her terms on Friday, July 17, 2015. Born Mary Elizabeth Addison in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada to John Addison and Elizabeth “Elsie” (Hobson) Addison, Betty spent her early years in Brandon, Manitoba and Regina with her family, including younger brother Jack. Betty completed nurses training at Vancouver General Hospital to become a Registered Nurse (RN). After graduation from VGH, she began a career as a nurse that lasted until her retirement in 1992. In between, she added a Bachelor of Science in Nursing to her credentials. On June 19, 1954, Betty married Keith T. Wilson of Saskatoon. They immigrated to Long Beach, California. While in Long Beach, the family expanded by three sons, John, Brent and Brian. Betty and Keith both became United States citizens.
