Mary Eleanor Brown Cochran, 84 passed away March 12, 2018 at Insignia of Newnan surrounded by her family. She was a dedicated member of Sargent Baptist Church where she played the piano for 50 years. She loved teaching Sunday School and working with the children’s choir. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Fred Cochran. She was also preceded in death by her parents, George Oliver Brown & Lillie Kerlin Brown; brothers, George (Isabelle) Brown, James Memory (Vi) Brown, Carl Brown, Euel (Mildred) Brown, Stanley Brown, Howard “Bud” Brown, Joseph “Bill” Brown, Leroy (Nancy) Brown; sisters, Opal (Robert) Baggett, Kathleen (Jack) Hunter, Bernice (Frank) Williamson and son-in-law, Charles Story. Surviving sisters-in-law, Wilma Brown, JoAnne Brown, Sandra Brown; She is also survived by her children, Jerry (Dianne) Cochran, Sherry Story; grandchildren, Julie (Mark) Jersey, Melanie Hathcock & fiancee Melissa Warr, Candace (Tony) Newborn, Dianne Lewis, Gloria (Jeff) Braswell; great-grandchildren, Brandon & Katelyn Jersey, Garrett & Lauren Hathcock, Taylor, Cru, Arianna & Lillie Newborn, Katie Lewis, Lauren Lewis & fiancée Chris Fain, TJ & Ethan Cohen Braswell, Macie, Rylie, Caden, Tyler Warr; great-great grandson, Alex Fain; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
