Mary is a 1938 graduate of Owen County High School and became a homemaker. Later she would work for the Action and Head start Programs.
Survivor’s include one son, John “Johnny” Mikel, Muncie; four daughters, Charlsey Parker (husband-Fred),Helen Parker (husband-Jack), Sheila Brown(husband-Wilbur) all of Muncie and Donna Green (husband-Bill); Salt Lick, Kentucky; both of Anderson; 15 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betty Cobb, Owenton, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters an infant, Mary Elizabeth Mikel and Janet Keller; three grandsons, Terry Dugger ,Ricky Cochran and Jonathan Mikel; three brothers, James, Ronald Cobb and Edward “Doc” Cobb; one sister, Betty Whitton.
