Mary Lena Brents Easley, “Granny” passed away on April 12, 2010. She was born on July 27, 1920. Mary was retired from the Alabama State Employment Service. She was a 48 year member of The Church of Christ at Roebuck Parkway. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Easley, Jr., her parents, James W. and Sally Brents and 8 brothers and sisters. She is survived by one sister, Myra Flanakin (Tex); her son, John T. Easley; her daughter, Mary Lou Shoemaker (George); grandchildren, Kitty Lewis (Barry), Kelly Besson (Stephen), Kimberly Shoemaker, Karen Sugita (Yoshio), George Shoemaker Jr., (Jessica) and Laurie Beth Hilbert (PJ); 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
