Mary E. Perry, 90, of West Home Road, Emlenton, Richland Twp., VenangoCounty, died Monday, January 12, 2009, at Brookville Hospital following a brief illness. Born on February 11, 1918, she was the daughter of Ernesto and Theresa Gallo Marziale. She was married in Westview on November 16, 1940, to Franklin H. Perry. He preceded her in death on December 22, 2000. Mrs. Perry was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church in Emlenton. She was a member of the church’s RCIA, Altar Rosary, and pie and soup making group. She was an avid reader who enjoyed embroidery, playing cards, scrabble, and baking. She assisted her husband in taking communion for community shut-ins. Surviving are two sons and their wives, Robert J. and Debbie Perry of Parker, and Gary J. and Teresa Perry of Marion Center; four daughters and their husbands, Gloria and Richard Greenwood of Howard, Ohio, Mary Beth and Charles Henshaw of Franklin, Debra and Thomas Butler of Clearfield, and Jean and Norbert Armes of Greensburg. Sixteen grandchildren and seven great-grand children survive. Also surviving is a sister, Josephine U’Ren of Pittsburgh. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Perry was preceded in death by a sister, Josephine Anzaldi and three brothers, Henry, Arthur, and Fred Marziale.
