Mary E. Clark Murdock, 91, Chesterfield, died February 26, 2010 at Millers Merry Manor in Chesterfield . She was born November 16, 1918 in Summitville, IN.
She graduated from the St. John’s Hospital School of Nursing in 1943 and was the Supervisor in the Pediatric Department at St. John’s Hospital. She retired from Delco Remy in 1979 after 27 years of employment as a nurse.
She was a member of Wesley Free Methodist Church, Indiana Nurse’s Association, Madison County Nurses Association, and the Red Hat Society at Millers Merry Manor.
Her daughters survive her; Nancy Blake Ernie of Alexandria and Roseanna Horein Phil of Indianapolis. Sister; Virginia Kristy of Fort Wayne Sisters-in-law; Glendora Clark of Sweetser, Indiana, Sylvia Clark of Marion, Indiana, and Marguerite Vogt of Pinellas Park, Florida. Brother-in-law; Jack Fortson of Elwood. Grandchildren; Dean Horein of Indianapolis, Ala Horein of Indianapolis, Shelly Hodson Kyle of Arcadia, Indiana, and Curtis Hart Jodie of Barrington, Illinois. Great-grandchildren; Garrett & Gage Hodson and Carter, Cate & Cooper Hart. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to Mary’s extended family; Dr. Dewar and the staff at Millers Merry Manor for the excellent care they gave their mother, the respect they showed and had for her mother, and the never-ending love they gave her mother.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years who died in 1996; James Murdock. Parents; Harold & Edith Bollinger Clark. and brothers; Gene Clark and Howard Clark.
