Mary Elizabeth Keeling, beloved sister, aunt and friend passed peacefully away on January 16, 2015. She was born in Bridgeport CT on August 22, 1935 to the late Frank Thomas and Edith McMellon Keeling of Long Eaton and Manchester, England. Mary graduated from Milford High School in 1953 and worked at Columbia Records, General Motors and Sikorsky’s. In 1964 she graduated from Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing and began her career as an operating room nurse at Bridgeport Hospital where she specialized in thoracic and vascular surgery and was a member of the open-heart team.
She is survived by her sister Susan and spouse Ken Green, nieces, Linda (Godchild) and Alan Scott, Beth Howie, Cindy and Ed Phillips, Ruth and Robbo Holleran, 9 great nieces and nephews and many cousins and friends. Mary will be remembered for her devotion to nursing, fun-loving ways and abiding friendships.
The family would like to thank the ICU staff at Milford Hospital for their exceptional care, kindness and compassion.
