Mary Edna Curtis, age 89, of Milford, beloved wife to the late Ralph E. Curtis, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, March 15, 2015. Mary was born on May 5, 1925 in Bridgeport and was the daughter of the late Richard and Edna Drew. Mary was a graduate of Warren Harding HS, Class of 1943. Following graduation, she worked at the office of the Burritt Lumber Company in Bridgeport, where she met her future husband. Ralph and Mary were married on October 16, 1948. Mary was a happy homemaker and mother for 48 years. She was blessed with two daughters and a son.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Patricia Arick, her son Richard Curtis (Barbara) and her daughter, Jane Curtis. She is also survived by her sisters, Carol DelVecchio (Daniel) and Jacqueline Smith (William). Additionally by her grandchildren; Tara Knudsen (Ole), Daniel Curtis, Ashley Babcock (Frank), and Rebecca Chappell (Dan). Finally, Mary is survived by her great grandchildren; Liberty, Drew, Nathan, Arick and Natalie, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her sisters, Shirley Zinn and Jane Zinn. Mary was a bright light in countless lives and will be dearly missed by all.
