Mary E. Cole, 72, of Lafayette, passed away peacefully at her home on April 1, 2021 surrounded by her family.
She was born September 7, 1948 in Lafayette to the late Raymond and Wilma (Harner) Bennett. She was a 1966 graduate of Montmorenci High School and worked in the Laboratory Department at St. Elizabeth Hospital for 32 years until her retirement in March 2010.
She is survived by her 2 daughters, Dawn (Terry Tucker) Warf of Yuma, AZ and Michelle (Mark) Hamm of Lafayette; 3 grandchildren, Ryan, Kayla, and Amanda; 5 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Tanner, Emma, Ali, and Lorenzo; 5 sisters, Judith, Jean, Janice, Ramona, and Becky and her sweetheart of 37 years, John Nelson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Wilma Bennett.
