Mary E. (Mattes) Churchill, 94, formerly of Ottawa, died on May 4, 2016, at Willow Manor in Dania Beach, Florida.
Mary was born on August 27, 1922 in Ottawa, to Edwin and Ada (Warner) Mattes. She was a graduate Ottawa Township High School and the St. Josephs School of Nursing in Joliet in 1942. She married Winston Churchill in February of 1952, in Chicago, he passed in 1984. Mary was a registered nurse for 50 years. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Church in Miami. Mary lived in Miami for over 50 years.
She is survived by her sister Anita Mennie, of Ottawa, nieces Judy (Floyd) Coffey, of Ottawa, Denise (Kevin) Hamilton, of Ottawa, Karen Habben, of Ottawa, and Lisa (Peach) Martin, of Ottawa, a nephew, Alan Andreatta, of Utica many more nieces and nephews, and special friend Susan ONeil from her church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 2 sisters Felicia Salzman and Sylvia Andreatta, and a nephew, Steven Andreatta.
