Mary Nell Masters Dyer, age 80, passed away April 25,
2020. Mary had worked at Meadowcraft Ornamental Iron,
was retired from O’Neal Steel, worked at Jeff State, and
volunteered at St. Vincent’s East. “Mama”, as she was
called by so many, enjoyed reading, vegetable gardening,
She was preceded in death by parents, brothers and
sisters, and a beloved daughter, Michele Dyer Adams.
Survived by her husband of 62 years, Birl Dyer, and made
her life in Pinson, AL; Teresa Dyer Bancroft, daughter,
grandson Ben Bancroft, granddaughter “Mary” Allison
Bancroft Pustaver (Richard), great grandsons Charlie and
Oliver, all of Birmingham; son-in-law, Tim Adams
(Michele), of Oneonta, Andrew (Lexie) of Americus, GA;
Lenny Robinson (Racheal) and great grandson Lucus, of
Kinsman, OH. Also survived by her loving sister,
Barbara Masters Hall, Gadsden, and a host of other
family and friends with whom she shared many
laughs and tears through her life. We will cherish our
memories. She will be greatly missed.
