Mary A. Dunne, age 100 of Madison, formerly of Orange and beloved wife to the late Martin W. Dunne, entered into eternal rest Thursday, October 23, 2014. Born in Sunlight, West Virginia on May 2, 1914 she was the daughter of the late Michael A. McHale and Mary Agnes (Yates) McHale. Mary was a registered nurse graduate of St. Francis School of Nursing, Charleston, WV in 1937. She attended post-graduate work Columbia University in New York, NY in 1940. She entered the Army Nurse Corps as an officer in World War II, serving 30 months (1942-1944) in China, Burma, and the India Theater (CBI) with the 159th Station Hospital and 181st General Hospital in India working for the 10th and 14th Air Force pilots.

Mary is survived by her son Martin “Rusty” Dunne, grandmother of Ryan Dunne of Madison and Brittany Dunne of Columbia, South Carolina. Mary was predeceased by her sisters Marjorie Austin, Susan Holley and Theresa Louden, and her brothers Michael McHale, Mark McHale, John McHale and Aloyisous McHale. Mary was also predeceased by her infant daughter Mary in 1948.
