Mary D. Giuffrida was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, friend, and close neighbor. She left this world quietly on March 5, 2022, at the spry age of 101.
Mary was born on June 22, 1920, to John G. Dakis and Pauline Porele Dakis. Mary graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in 1940. She married Carl J. Giuffrida in 1942 and they lived happily together for over 70 years. She is once again at his side.
Carl and Mary had one child, John Carl Giuffrida. Mary is survived by her son and three grandchildren, John, Jr. Gary, and Joseph. Other survivors include five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her parents and daughter-in-law, Bonnie Giuffrida.
