Sister Mary Dolores Kotas, OLVM, age 94, a resident of Victory Noll, died at 2:50 AM on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Holy Family Health Care Center at Victory Noll, Huntington, IN.Sister Mary Dolores was born in Chicago, IL on September 5, 1916 to John and Elizabeth (Kocinski) Kotas.
She is survived by one brother, William Szabelski of Chesterton, IN. She was preceded in death by one brother Walter Kotas and three sisters, Sister Regina Ann Kotas, Sister Letantia Kotas and Helen Kotas. Sister Mary Dolores entered the Congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on October 28, 1942 and made first vows on August 5, 1945.
She served in the missions in Texas, California, New Mexico, Colorado and Iowa. She retired in 1996 and returned to Victory Noll as a volunteer.
