Mary Deal Chodnicki Reynolds, known to those that loved her as “Kitty”, passed away at her home, January 14, 2021. Kitty was born on July 29, 1933 to Herbert and Ruby Dixon Deal in Bulloch County and remained in the Bulloch County area all her life. She married John Chodnicki in Washington D.C. and they were happily married for sixteen years, until his death in 1968. Later, Kitty married Earle Reynolds and they celebrated thirty-six years together until his passing in 2006.
Kitty was a bookkeeper and worked for several different businesses in Statesboro.
Kitty is preceded in death by her husbands; her parents; her sisters, Helen Carter and Betty Brannen; and her brother, Lemuel Deal.
She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her daughters, Mary Lee (Terry), Angela Wofford of Ponte Vedra, Florida, Maria Tanner (Steve), Melanie Reddick (Jeff), Michele Chodnicki, and Rachel Olliff (Brandon) of Sierra Vista, Arizona; her son, Mark Chodnicki; twelve grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Grace Deal: and many nieces and nephews.
