Mary Davis Kimbro, 85, of Burlington passed away at AuthoraCare Collective Hospice Home on Wednesday, April 6, 2022.

A native of Johnston County, NC, she was the wife of the late Julius Arthur Kimbro, Jr. and the daughter of Jodie Davis and Viola Johnson Davis, both deceased. She was a parttime key punch operator for Glen Raven Mills which she thoroughly enjoyed and a fulltime homemaker. Mary was a vibrant and expressive woman. She embodied a zest for life matched with the upmost elegance. Mary was a sparkly, certain, authentic, and bold woman who set an example for the other women in her family.
Survivors include a son, Ty Kimbro and wife Jennifer of Greensboro; daughter, Simone St. Pierre and her husband John of Rolesville, NC; two granddaughters, Jenna St. Pierre of Honolulu, HA and Karlie St. Pierre of Raleigh; and four siblings, Dorothy “Dot” Godwin of Winchester, VA, Horace Davis of Garner, NC, Jimmy Davis and wife Marie of Williamsburg, VA, and Jackie Davis of Wilson, NC. She was preceded in death by three siblings, Howard Davis who was killed in Korea, Louise Lamm, and Sue Davis.
