Mary Dell Miller, 71, of Jacksonville, died Friday, May 14, 2021, at Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville.

She was born April 6, 1950, in Jacksonville, the daughter of John Eckman and Mimi Angelo Coats. She married Charles H. “Chuck” Miller on Dec. 8, 1967, in Jacksonville, and he preceded her in death on July 28, 2008.

She is survived by three sons,  Charles S. Miller of Hillsboro, Jebediah Miller of Jacksonville, and Joshoua Miller of Jacksonville; nine grandchildren, Teri Miller (fiancé, Michael Brantley) and their children, Madelyn Kay, Eliana Mari, Raelyn Sue, and Wesson James, Joey Miller and his son Joseph, Justyn Miller, Gage Miller, Jozie Miller, J.J. Miller, Jaedyn Miller, Rainee Miller, and Aerabella Miller; one sister, Georgianna Kitselman (deceased husband, James) of Murrayville; one brother-in-law, Bob Miller of Chapin; two sisters-in-law, Judy Spradlin (deceased husband, Albert) of Jacksonville, and Donna Hayes (deceased husband, Ed) of Jacksonville; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Susie Haynes, Doris Privia, and Jackie Weimer.

She was preceded in death by one son, Jeremy “Jay” Miller; one sister, Sharon Kennedy; one brother, Johnny Coats; one brother-in-law, John Miller; and a special friend, Linda Boehs.

Mary was a graduate of Jacksonville High School and later was secretary for Leonard & Six Plumbing and Heating for over 20 years. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crafting. She also enjoyed taking trips and visiting antique stores. She especially loved her grand-kids.
