Mary Darlene Jones, 82, of Hudson, Colorado, passed away peacefully June 30, 2017 at home surrounded by family. She was born in Upton, Wyoming on November 19, 1934 to Raymond Alvin Butts and Esther Isabelle Benson. She spent her early years on a ranch outside of Moorcroft, Wyoming and later lived in Nebraska, North Dakota, California, Alaska, Illinois, Oregon and, for the past 45 years, Colorado. She enjoyed crocheting Afghans for her family and doing crossword puzzles.
She was preceded in death by brothers Allan, Ray, Harvey and Lyle. She is survived by her husband Martin Jones, her brother Don, her sisters Phyllis Conley, Alta Johnston and Linda (Olen) Pedie, her children Lynn Butts (Wayne) Johnson, Sharon Grisham, Terry Grisham, Kathe Watson (Lavern) Carlton, Laraine Grisham (Don) Parcher, Renita Grisham (Mike) Lucas and Carrie (Bryce) Morgan Jones, her step-daughters Joni Jones (Les) Baldwin, Kelly Sue Jones (Reuben Jr.) Cowell, Lyndi Jones (Kevin) Cooley, Marci Jones and Nicki Jones, plus 20 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was very proud of, and dearly loved by, her large blended family.
