Mary E. Cox, age 65, of Adrian, MI, passed away, January 7, 2016. She was born September 7, 1950, in Mansfield, OH, the daughter of Donald & Lola (Bugbee) Burand. On March 14, 1995, she married Donald Cox, he survives. Mary enjoyed serving the public for over 15 years while working at Associated Charities. She also worked as a hostess at Jonathan’s Restaurant, where she met her future husband. Both her and her husband worked at Cargotainer in Adrian. Mary loved cake decorating and attending ceramic classes and making crafts of all kinds. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Adrian. Mary was a die hard Michigan State fan. In addition to her husband Donald, she is survived by her two daughters, Shannon Barber and Kimberly (Thomas) Carey, four step sons, Larry (Lisa) Sanford, Leon (Carol) Sanford, Eddie (Mary) Cox and Charles Cox, two step daughters, Heather Cox and Emily (Brett) Holt, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, one sister, Donna Greven and her niece, Grendel Guinn. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Randall Burand.
