Mary Christine (Austin) Alexander, 84, of Franklin, Indiana, stepped through the gates of Heaven on Saturday, December 11, 2021.
Mary was born on November 20, 1937 in Dunnville, Kentucky to the late Stanley and Verna (Gaskins) Austin.
Mary was a loving mother and a wonderful grandmother. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. Along with creating memories with her loved ones, she enjoyed going to flea markets and garage sales and having good conversations with everyone she could.
Mary is survived by her five children, Michael (Michelle) Harris of Helena, MT, Tina (Roger) Parker of Lake Placid, FL, Terry Jo Downey of Lawrenceburg, TN, Tammy (David Forrest) Carter and Cindy Whitcomb, both of Columbus, IN; her seven grandchildren, Paul Sebesky, Kristian Marshall, Joshua Harries, Matt Downey, Jody Carter, Niki Long, and Brittany Breckenridge; her eight great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild; her sister, Zula Wilson of Columbus, IN.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Bud Alexander; her granddaughter, Ashley Harris; her parents, Stanley and Verna Austin; her brothers, Gene and Michael James Austin.
