Mary Catherine (Hoscheit) Faletti, 83, of LaSalle, passed away Monday morning, December 13, 2010 at her home. Mrs. Faletti was born April 1, 1927 in Peru to Charles and Bernadette (Malone) Hoscheit. She graduated from St. Josephs School, L-P High School and LPO Junior College. She married Gerald P. Faletti on November 24, 1949 at St. Josephs Church in Peru.
He preceded her in death on April 23, 1996. Mrs. Faletti was a member of St. Patricks Church in LaSalle where she was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Sodality. She was a member of the St. Josephs Bridge Club and was past president of the Peru Junior Womens Club. Mary gave her time, talent, and treasures to her community, friends, and family. She was filled with an abundant gift of giving, love, and laughter. She enjoyed bridge, traveling, family, and friends.
Survivors include five children, Jane (William) Zomboracz of Waukesha, WI, Gerald (Kathleen) Faletti of Cottage Grove, MN, Julie Mandikian of Plano, TX, Charles (Joann) Faletti of LaSalle and John (Kathleen) Faletti of Peoria; 17 grandchildren, Kate Lubchansky, Matt Zomboracz, Bill Zomboracz, Rebecca Gutzman, Melissa Reckinger, Michael Faletti, John Faletti, Brian Faletti, Sarah Faletti, Peter Faletti, Ellen Faletti, Jack Faletti, Laura Faletti, Nick Faletti, Michael Faletti and Lauren Faletti; 19 great-grandchildren; two brothers, John (Pat) Hoscheit of The Villiages, FL and Charles Hoscheit of Aurora and two sisters, Lucy (Bill) McGann of Peoria and Jane (Pat) OKier of Cedar Point. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerald; one granddaughter, Susan Faletti; one brother, Francis Hoscheit and one sister, Julia McNamara.
