Funeral Services for Mary Carolyn Runnels, age 86, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Thursday, May 5, 2022, will be held Tuesday, May 10 at 2 P.M., at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.Visitation will be Tuesday, May 10, 2022, from 12 P.M. until 2 P.M. at McDonald Funeral Home. Burial will be in New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.Rev. Scott Downes will officiate the service.A native of Richton, MS, she was a Homemaker and a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist.She was preceded in death by her husband, Ammon Carl Runnels; her parents, Irvin Byrd and Carrie Byrd; brothers, Artis Byrd, O. G. Byrd, Dwight Byrd, James Bryant Byrd, Irvin Byrd; her sisters, Mayjewel Byrd Ezell, Dossie Byrd Dunham, Dola Byrd.Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Randy (Gail) Runnels, Carl (Debbie) Runnels, Robert (Sandy) Runnels, Johnny (Veronica) Runnels; her daughter, Cecile (Don) Wheat; 11 grandchildren, Sandy Delaune, Michael (Cathy) Runnels, Carl (Krista) Runnels, Chris Runnels, Dustin Runnels, Jesse (Jillian) Runnels, Kayci Runnels, David Wheat, Jessica (Matt) Guillot, Eric (Vanessa) Runnels, and Ryan (Susie) Runnels; her 19 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
