Mary C. Seleman, 98, of Bristol, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at Ingraham Manor Nursing Home.
She was born on April 26, 1910 in New Britain, a daughter of the late Stephen and Katherine (Kuzma) Seleman. Mary was stricken with polio as a young girl, yet she was determined to live a full and productive life. She was educated in the Bristol schools, the Newington Children’s Home, and graduated from Bristol High School in 1934. She was an owner and bookkeeper at Seleman’s Chrysler/Plymouth, Inc., in Forestville with her late brothers Anthony, Peter, and Paul. She was a member of St.
Mary was also predeceased by her brothers John, Michael, and Dr. Alden Seleman and his wife Patricia and their daughter Kathy, and her sister and brother-in-law Mildred and Philip Gaughan.
She leaves her sisters-in-law, Jean Seleman of Bristol, Dolores Seleman of Forestville, and Alice Forcier Seleman of Bristol. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York.
