Mary Battista Geremia, 99, of North Haven passed away peacefully on Jan. 17, 2014 at her home. She was the widow of Michael Geremia and was a long time resident of 55 Pearl St., New Haven. Born in New Haven on Nov. 16, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Antoinetta Gaudio Battista. She worked at The New Haven Lawn Club for more than 30 years, serving as Maitre d’hotel. Upon her retirement, she was honored with a Life Membership. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Mary Ann Geremia of North Haven; her son, Michael (Hong) Geremia of New Haven; her brother, David (Rose) Battista of North Haven; and two grandchildren, Erica and Michael Ian. She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Battista and a sister, Rose Sabbia.
