Mary (Alfano) Basile, 93, of Matawan, passed away, Monday, June 29, 2009, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Newark, she resided there until moving to Matawan two years ago. She was employed as a line worker with Charms Candy Company, Bloomfield, for 25 years, retiring in the 1960’s. She was a former communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Newark; and the Newark Senior Citizens; and she was a member of the Busy Fingers at Cheesequake Village.
Mary was predeceased by her husband, Michael Basile in 1972. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
