Mary Balzarini, 95, of Oglesby died on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Manor Court in Peru.
Mary was born on July 28, 1921, in Oglesby to Enrico and Attilia (Marzetta) Balzarini. She was a graduate of LaSalle-Peru High School, and was employed in the office at Marquette Cement until her retirement.
She was a member of Holy Family Church, Secretary of the Women’s Independent Lodge, a Charter member of the Oglesby AARP, Secretary of the Daughters of Isabella, Birthday Club of childhood friends, Every Friday Card Club and the Oglesby Women’s Club.
She is survived by one sister, Rena Gillio and niece and nephews, Mary Gillio, John (Sue) Gillio, Dave (Amy) Gillio, and Steve Gillio, all of Oglesby.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, Gus Gillio.
