Mary George Antonak, 88, of New Haven, Milford and most recently East Haven, died on July 20, 2011 at The Connecticut Hospice. She was the cherished daughter of the late George and Adamandia Antonak and is survived by her loving brother James George Antonak and wife Neova of the Chicago area, nieces Penelope TerHaar, Barbara Weinberger and husband Kenneth, Cindy Brady and husband Terry and nephew George Antonak. She is also survived by her great-nieces and great-nephews Drew TerHaar and fiancAC.e Lena, Bradley Weinberger, Allison Weinberger, Charles Weinberger, Graham Weinberger, James Brady, John Brady and Ashley Antonak. Mary graduated from Commercial High School in New Haven in 1941 and Larson College in 1945. She was a medical technician at Yale University School of Medicine for many years; her research assistance was noted in several published scholarly papers. After her retirement, she lovingly cared for her mother. Mary enjoyed drawing, painting, photography, swimming and conversing on politics and the economy. She loved cats, particularly her beloved cat, Nikki. She travelled extensively, including trips to Europe and Asia.
