Mary Anne Harvey Urquhart of Fairfield died peacefully in her home on Thursday, November 22. She was born on January 15, 1929 in Danville, Virginia, the daughter of the late Edwin and Mary Harvey, and moved with her family as a young girl to Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She attended Mary Washington and Salem colleges. In 1954 she married her hometown sweetheart, John (“Jack”) Urquhart and moved north with him. She was a devoted wife and mother who relocated her family 10 times as her husband’s career advanced, settling in Fairfield in 1982. She was fortunate in her lifetime to have traveled extensively around the world.
