Mary Ann Whinery, age 57, of Lisbon, Ohio, died at 3:35 p.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at the Hospice House in Poland, Ohio following a brief illness with cancer. Her passing was peaceful and with her family at her side. She was born July 15, 1955, in Salem Ohio, the daughter of the late Adolfo and Tilde (Palumbo) Ciotti. For twenty years she had been employed by Hunt Engineering Company of Salem in the Military Sales Department. Previously she had been employed by the Salem Label Company of Salem and the Morning Journal in Lisbon. She was a graduate of Salem High School. She is survived by her husband, Rex Whinery, whom: she married September 3, 1983, two sons, Adam Whinery of the home, Ryan Whinery of Fairlawn, Ohio, a daughter, Sara (Ryan) Hannay of Ravenna, Ohio and a brother Joe Ciotti of Boardman.
