Mary Ann (Coen) Walter was called home by her savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday morning, Oct. 27th at 6:00 am. She died in the arms of her husband and in the comfort of her home in Canon City, CO. after a 10-month battle with bladder cancer. Mary Ann was born in Jos, Nigeria, West Africa on March 7th, 1945 to Harold and Ella Coen S.I.M. career missionaries for 35 years. Mary Ann grew up in Nigeria where she attended Kent Academy Boarding School. She returned to the States for her high school and Jr. College years where she majored in art. In 1966 she married the love of her life, Bob Walter. They enjoyed 45 years of marriage together. She was a devoted wife, mother and friend to all she met. Mary Ann loved to read, sew, travel and spent the latter part of her life living and working in Kaohsiung Taiwan with her husband Bob. She is survived by her husband Bob, 2 children Jonathan and Michael, 5 grand children, Rachel, Audrey, Victoria (Tori), Andrew {A.J.), David, and 3 sisters, Ruth Duffield, Esther Karna, and Eileen Bryan.
