Mary Ann (Sadnick) Reeland, 61, of Spring Valley, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at home. Mrs. Reeland was born March 9, 1958 in Galesburg. She was raised by Earl and Marie (Cravin) Sadnick. She married Karl David Greening in her parent’s backyard. He passed away on December 19, 1989. She then married David Keith Reeland on September 1, 1995 in Ottawa.Mrs. Reeland was a devoted wife, loving mother and caring grandma. She was always there to lend a helping hand, a shoulder to lean on and always offered friendly advice, never too busy to listen.
She loved playing games and spending time with all her grand-kids and just plain spoiling them. She had many collections and hobbies. Those who knew her could tell you about her love for Tweety and Sylvester, feeding the raccoons on the back porch and her collection of Tiffany Style lamps and candles. You could always see the lamps on and the smell of the candles burning. She loved shopping for family and herself. Some might think the house was cluttered, but it was all precious memories and treasures to Mary. Her quick wit and loud voice will never be forgotten by those who knew her. She will be sadly missed by all.
Survivors include her husband, David; eight children, Karl (Amy) Greening, Gail (Doug) Greening-Henico, Tom (Stacy) Greening, Tina (Caleb) Cunningham, Kevin Greening, Jerry Greening, Amanda Gedraitis and David (Sue) Gedraitis; 19 grandchildren and her mother-in-law, Jaqueline Reeland. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Karl David Greening; a grandson in infancy and her father-in-law, John Reeland.
