Norwich- Mary Ann (Moumblow) Born 87, of Pukallus Ave. Norwich, CT died Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Harrington Court Healthcare Center in Colchester. Mary was born in Norwich on October 21, 1926 daughter of the late Edward Joseph Moumblow and Mary T. (Bobsein) Moumblow.
She attended school at St. Mary’s School in Greeneville and the Norwich Free Academy.
On September 24, 1949 she was united in marriage to Louis F. Born at St. Patrick’s Church in Norwich by Father Mitchell. Mr. Born predeceased his wife on January 25, 1988. Mary was a communicant of Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Norwich, later she attended St. Mary’s Church in Norwich. She was a member of the 050 Club, Connecticut Council of Catholic Women, CT State Employee Association and the VFW Auxiliary #594 for 71 years. Mrs. Born worked for many years in retail including the Debutante store, Reid and Hughes Store and Nadicks.
Mary is survived by several nieces and nephews.
