Obituary of Mary Ann Moran
Mary Ann Moran of Saginaw, MI passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was 84 years old, born on June 27, 1935 in Pittsburgh, PA, to Gerald and Catherine (Riley) Ley. Mary Ann married Robert Moran Jr., on August 25, 1956 at Immaculate Conception in Elmhurst, IL, he preceded her in death in July 2009. She graduated from Immaculate Conception High School. Prior to having children, she worked as a legal secretary. Later in life she was employed by Princing and Brennan Pharmacy for several years. Mary Ann was a member of St. Dominic Parish – St. Stephen Catholic Church, where she served on a variety of committees throughout the years; Altar Society, Home and School Association and St. Stephen School Board. She also volunteered at St. Mary’s Hospital Gift Shop for over 25 years. Mary Ann enjoyed sewing, cooking and socializing with friends and family, especially her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, daughter, Maureen Kostrzewski, grandsons; Thomas Heidger and Alex Kostrzewski, great grand-daughter, Ava Heidger, and brothers: Gerald and Ed Ley.
