Mary Ann Kilbert, 63, wife of Elmo Kilbert of Bristol, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family after a 15 month long battle with leukemia at Yale New Haven Hospital on Tuesday July 1, 2008. Mary Ann was born on March 4, 1945 in Milford, CT a daughter of the late John “Jack” and Pauline (Emery) Platt Sr. She was a dedicated mother and wife who enjoyed traveling in their RV and picnicking with her family. Mrs. Kilbert retired from Stop & Shop in Bristol and also worked for H&R Block.
In addition to her beloved husband of 44 years, she is survived by her 4 children. Her 3 daughters and son-in-law, Anne Marie Kilbert of Bristol, Deborah Leard of Manchester, NH, Wanda and David Dawiczyk of Bristol; and her son and daughter-in-law, John and Miriam Kilbert of Bristol; her grandchildren, Adam and Michael Leard, Hunter and Cameron Dawiczyk and Tabetha Mitchell-Stanco; her brother and sister-in-law John “Jack” and Rosemary Platt, Jr. and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson Matthew Leard.
