Mary Ann Fuelling, 76, of Meredosia and formerly of Quincy, died Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010, at Jacksonville Convalescent Center. She was born on Jan. 15, 1933, in Quincy, the daughter of Norbert and Gertrude E. Musholt Schulte.

She married Harlan F. Fuelling on Nov. 12, 1983, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Bluffs, and he survives. She is also survived by one brother, Ron Schulte of Des Peres, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Norbert Schulte.

Mrs. Fuelling was a graduate of Quincy Notre Dame High School and Quincy College, where she earned her teaching degree. She was baptized at and a member of St. Francis Solanus Catholic Church in Quincy. She then was a longtime member of St. Patrickâ??s Catholic Church in Bluffs. Upon its closing, she became a member of the Church of Our Saviour in Jacksonville. She taught business education for 34 years at Meredosia-Chambersburg High School, retiring in 1989. Mrs. Fuelling was proud to have impacted multi-generations of students during her teaching career in Meredosia. She enjoyed traveling and golfing.
