Mary Ann Gibson Burton, 50, Anderson, went to join her Lord and Savior on October 8, 2003 at her residence after an extended illness. She was born September 30, 1953 in Anderson, Indiana, and resided in Anderson, Indiana. She moved back to Anderson 10 years ago. She was a receptionist for Dr. Moneyhun.

She received an Associates Degree in Accounting with full honors and made American Honor Society from Savannah Tech. She received National Awards from the US Army for exemplary service, Monetary Reward from the US Army and dedicated her life to her husband during his military career. She was a member of South Meridian Church of God and Ladies of Amvets Post #692. She enjoyed coaching cheerleading, and dedicated many hours to children’s sports.

She enjoyed fishing, spending time with her grandkids and her many special friends. Mary Ann was always doing for other people and never asked anything in return. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was a very unique loving person who touched so many people lives and loved to laugh. She always saw the bright and funny side of everything and hoped everyone remembers her with a smile. She wanted all her family and friends to be happy and to love God always. God is good for the soul.

She is survived by her husband: Gordon Burton. Daughters: Shannon Burton Anderson & husband Scott of Anderson. Amanda Burton Dunning of Anderson. One Granddaughter: Joseline Dunning of Anderson. Two Grandsons: Spencer Anderson and Brandon Dunning of Anderson. Parents: Joe and JoAnne Gibson of Anderson. Sisters: Sharon Gibson Morgan & husband Dwight of Pendleton. Carole Gibson Edwards & husband Doug of Pendleton. Nieces: Kelley Morgan of Muncie, Laura Morgan Hart & husband Nathan of New Castle, Christi Edwards and Jenni Edwards, both of Pendleton. One Nephew: Jacob Morgan of Bloomfield. One Great Nephew: Austin Hart of New Castle.

Special friend for life and Sister-in-law: Therisa Burton Russell of Knoxville, Tennessee. Several Other nieces, nephews, great nephews and one great niece. Three Brothers-in-law and Mother-in-law: Margaret Burton of Anderson. Special Friends: Nancy Stark, Dr. James Moneyhun and family, many loving patients and many loving members of the church. She was preceded by her Very Special Brother: Joey Gibson. Very dear friend and father-in-law: Bobbie Burton. Special family members: Joel & Elsie Couch.
