Mary Ann Clark, 84, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at Parkview Hospital, Randallia.
She was born in Stillwater, OK, on January 8, 1938, to the late John and Ruth (Simonton) Brown. She spent her formative years in Antwerp, OH, graduating from Antwerp High School.
Mary Ann was married to Douglas A. Clark in Fort Wayne, on October 21, 1973. He tragically passed away in April of 1982.
She worked multiple jobs raising six children on her own as a single woman. In the 70’s she managed the Pickle on the Landing, in Fort Wayne. This is where she met the love of her life Douglas. In her later years, she opened her home to families for daycare.
Mary Ann was a fun-loving and hard-working woman. Mary Ann loved fishing with her husband, weekend boating at Lake James and camping at Fawn Forest. She also loved polka dancing with Doug. She dedicated her life to her children, husband, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mary Ann is survived by six children, Londa (Michael) Pompilio, Mark (Deanna) Schaefer, Rick (Lisa) Schaefer, Shari (Jeffery) Grier, Laura (Michael) Kurtz and Gary Schaefer; 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren with three on the way.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Barbra Hill, Bill Brown, Eddie Brown, Maxine Watson and Evelyn Salisbury.
