Mary Alvidrez, 104, passed away Saturday, the 5th of May 2012, with her daughter at her side. Mary was a longtime resident of Rockvale, living there since 1937. Mary was an inspiration to her family, a great friend, and would do anything for the people she loved. She enjoyed reading her bible and writing, but will be best remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and her strong devotion to God. Mary is survived by her children, Rosa (Daniel) Giem of Rockvale, Richard (Rose) Alvidrez of El Paso, TX, and Casey Alvidrez of Brookside. Mary is also survived by six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and numerous cousins from Pueblo and California. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant daughter; and a granddaughter.
