Mary Alice (Janeiro) Post of Kingston formerly of Plymouth died peacefully on November 14th at Wingate at Silverlake.Beloved wife of the late James Robert Post and the loving mother of Patricia Vaughn and her husband Kerry, William M. Post and his wife Robin all of Plymouth and James M. Post and his wife Cindy of Kingston. Sister of Auora “Lollie” Sampson of Plymouth. Cherished grandmother of Peter, Christine, Molly, Lindsay, Kelly and Katelyn and great grandmother of was the grandmother of the late Patrick PostBorn in Plymouth on July 7, 1929 daughter of the late Francisco and Maria (Marcella) Janeiro, she was educated in Plymouth and graduate of Plymouth High School and Bridgewater State College She received her BS from Southeastern University and her Master’s degree from the University of Dartmouth. Mary Alice grew up on Ropewalk Court in North Plymouth and was very proud of her Portuguese heritage she went to work as a Telephone Operator for Bell Telephone and later for the Silver-Lake School System as a secretary to the Vice Principle. She went on to become a longtime Bilingual Teacher with the Town of Plymouth School System where she taught children and adults. Mary Alice travel throughout the world and traveled to Cambodia were she taught the children to speak English and traveled to many other countries with her grandchildren. She had been a host of the TV show the Portuguese around Us which aired several years. Active with the Habitat for Humanity and the Plymouth Fragment Society, her many hobbies were reading, dancing, playing cards.
