Mrs. Mary Alice Green Rush, 93, of 3264 Belo Rush Dr., Archdale died on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Hospice Home at High Point.
Mary was born on July 22, 1919 to William Green and Sophronia Coltrane Green in Randolph County. She turned her life over to Christ at an early age and was of the Holiness faith. Mary was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved to cook and really looked forward to Sunday dinners with her family.
Mrs. Rush was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank Rush; daughter, Geneva Davis; a son and his wife, Donald and Roberta Green; and great grandson, Kendel McClain; siblings, Elmer, Ezzell, Pavor, Fred, Earl, Claude, J.D., Ernest, Jesse Green, Maude Johnson and Hazel James; and son-in-law, Winford Miles,Sr.
Surviving relatives include sons, Gary Rush of Greensboro, and Odell (Melinda) Rush of Archdale; six daughters, Doreen Miles of Thomasville, Maxine McCormick (John) of High Point, Angela Tucker of Archdale, Nancy Rush of Archdale, Darlene Moore (Myles) of Durham, and Gina Rush of High Point; brother, Leon Green of Pontiac, MI; sister, Ethel Rice of Archdale; sixteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; cousins who were like sons, Kenneth Green, Elder Curtis Green and Rev. Roger Green; son-in-law, Donald R. Davis, Sr.; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives.
