Mary Alice Schuller, 94, of Greenwood, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. She was born on Tuesday, April 2, 1928, in Anderson, Indiana, to the late Willis L., Sr. and Nellie C. (Hickey) Abney.
Mary Alice had worked as a bookkeeper with the former AFNB (Chase) and then for FMC for 20 years, retiring in 1991.
Mary Alice loved her music – playing the guitar and in years past, with her siblings would sing on a local radio station. She loved doing crafts of all kinds. Mary Alice enjoyed sitting outside taking in the warmth of the sun. She enjoyed getting together with her family, especially the family meals. It was even better when it finally got to the point that family did the cooking, and she could sit back and enjoy the home cooked meal.
In addition to her parents, Willis and Nellie, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack E. Schuller on Wednesday, November 25, 2020, whom she married on Saturday, March 8, 1975; her brother, Willis L. Abney, Jr.; her sister, Betty Jean Miller; her granddaughter, Carly Kay Dugger; and her fur-baby, Molly.
Survivors include her children, Timothy (wife: Barbara) Songer of Greenwood, Cozette Foster of Greenwood, Becky Dugger of Indianapolis, Joanie Ortman of Indianapolis and Jill (husband: Mo) Houchin of Edinburgh; 19 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
